| The Shure SM58 is a unidirectional (cardioid) dynamic microphone for vocal applications, designed for use in recording studios and professional sound reinforcement systems. A highly effective, built-in spherical filter minimizes wind and breath "pop" noise. The cardioid polar pattern isolates the main sound source while simultaneously minimizing unwanted background noise. The SM58 features a tailored vocal response for a sound that has become a world standard. Rugged construction, a proven shock-mount system, and a stainless steel mesh grille ensure that performance remains consistent, even when handled roughly. Whether outdoors or indoors, for singing or speech, the SM58 is the microphone chosen by professionals the world over. |
