| The Starcaster revolutionized the design of semi-hollow guitars with its offset body when it was introduced in the 70s, offering versatile sounds and an unconventional style for the most adventurous players. The Squier Contemporary Active Starcaster is an evolution of the original Fender model, designed with a sealed semi-hollow body to minimize feedback, featuring dual Squier SQR active ceramic humbucking pickups for high output. The roasted maple neck was chosen for its optimal tone and stability, and the sculpted heel design allows for improved access to the 22nd fret. High-performance components complete the feature list, including a fully adjustable bridge with stop tailpiece for rock-solid string response, and a set of sealed gear tuning machines with split shafts for smooth tuning action and easy restringing. Eye-catching appointments include stealthy black chrome hardware and a sophisticated matching painted headstock with a chrome logo for a premium look. |
